- Sea Service – 36 Months as OICNW or 24 months as OICNW with 12 months service as Chief Mate
- 1/3 of Sea-time must be completed on ships of respective tonnage according to application
- Must be at least 19 years old
- Sea Service – 12 Months as OICNW
- 1/3 of Sea-time must be completed on ships of respective tonnage according to application
TWIC Card (U.S. Residents Only)
- Completed Application for Certificate of Competence and Physical Examination Report Submit copy of passport with application.
- Submit Sea Service Letters or copies of discharge papers.
- Submit proof of minimum 6 months supervised bridge watch duties during sea time.
- Include all copies of held licenses, Certificates of Competence, training certificates, completed assessments and training record book
