- 3 Years sea-service or 1 year sea service as part of approved training program
- 1/3 of Sea-time must be completed on ships of respective tonnage according to application
TWIC Card (U.S. Residents Only)
- Completed Application for Certificate of Competence and Physical Examination Report
- Submit copy of passport with application
- Submit Sea Service Letters or copies of discharge papers
- Submit proof of minimum 6 months supervised bridge watch duties during sea time.
