Minimum Age Required
16 Years
Sea Time Requirements
- 6 months under supervision of an officer or rating, OR
- Pre-sea training and 2 months sea time under the supervision of an officer or a rating
Application Requirements
- Completed Application for Certificate of Competence and Physical Examination Report
- Submit copy of passport with application
- Submit Sea Service Letters or copies of discharge papers
- Include all copies of held licenses, Certificates of Competence, training certificates, completed assessments and training record book
