This online program includes all required course theory through presentations, reference material, videos, and quizzes in the subject areas of Elementary First Aid/CPR.

This online course is based on an 8 hour in-person course.

The course individually meets the requirements for:
- Elementary First Aid standards of competence required by per 46 CFR 11.302(a)(3) and 46 CFR 12.602(a)(3); STCW Code Section A-VI/1 and Table A-VI/1-3, as amended 2010, meeting the National Assessment Guidelines from NVIC 08-14(Ch-1) Tasks 4.1A – 4.1E, 4.2A, 4.3A, 4.3B, 4.4A – 4.4I; 4.5A, 4.6A, 4.6B, 4.7A – 4.7C, 4.8A – 4.8D and 4.9A; AND
- The First Aid and CPR training requirements of 46 CFR 11.201(i)(1), PROVIDED that this training was completed within one year of the application; and
- Have performed the equivalent of all assessments of the Elementary First Aid section of the Basic Training NVIC 08-14.

Assessments
Written Examination
This course consists of one written exam – First Aid/CPR. The exam contains 25 questions and requires a 70% passing score. The written exam can be taken online through HALO° Exams. You will receive 3 attempts for your exam. If you fail all 3 attempts, you must pay a retake fee of $25.00.
