This course satisfies the Advanced Fire Fighting training requirements of Section A-VI/3 and Table A-VI/3 of the STCW Code, as amended 2010.
The course covers the following objectives:
- Control firefighting operations aboard ships
- Organize and train fire parties
- Inspect and service fire detection and extinguishing systems and equipment
- Investigate and compile reports on incidents involving fire
Assessments:
- The written exam can be taken online through HALO° Exams. You will receive 3 attempts for your exam. If you fail all 3 attempts, you must pay a retake fee of $50.00.
- The final assessment can be performed virtually with an instructor. Please contact registration@northeastmaritime.com upon completion of your written exam to schedule your final assessment.
This fully online course can be taken at your own pace. Recommended equipment outside of any required materials identified in the course: computer and web camera.
