This online course includes the theoretical and practical assessment requirements for mariners renewing their licenses as identified in USCG NVIC 09-14.

USCG
Any applicant who has successfully completed your Advanced Fire Fighting Revalidation (Blended) (NOREMI-890) course will satisfy the Advanced Fire Fighting training revalidation requirements of STCW Code Section A-VI/3 and 46 CFR 11.201(h)(1), and 11.303(d), provided that the mariner has at least 1 year of sea service within the last 5 years.; AND Tasks 1.3.A, 1.5.A, 2.1.A, 2.1.B, 3.1.A, 3.1.B, 4.1.A, 4.1.B and 4.1.C from NVIC 09-14, Advanced Fire Fighting.
DOMINICA
This course covers training to fulfill the refresher requirements set by the Commonwealth of Dominica Maritime Administration for the standards of competence set forth in Table A-VI/3 of the STCW Code, for applicants for renewal of their STCW officer endorsement who have evidence of 1 year (360 days) of sea service within the previous 5 years.
Assessments
Written Examination
This course consists of one written exam – Advanced Fire Fighting Revalidation. This exam contains 10 questions and requires a 70% passing score. The written exam can be taken online through HALO° Exams. You will receive 3 attempts for your exam. If you fail all 3 attempts, you must pay a retake fee of $50.00.
