Courses consist of video and text content, discussion forums, and a number of problem and assessment types.

NEMO has established a limited time partnership with edX to provide our users with access to a 10% discount off courses available on edX.org.

Located in Fairhaven, Massachusetts, Northeast Maritime Institute (NMI) has trained over 70,000 mariners since 1981. NMI opened the College of Maritime Science in 2015 after receiving approval from the United States Coast Guard’s National Maritime Center and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Board of Higher Education to deliver the Associate in Applied Science in Nautical Science Degree.

Alaska Vocational Technical Center (AVTEC)

The Alaska Vocational Technical Center (AVTEC) is a vocational training center operated by the State of Alaska as a Division of the Department of Labor and Workforce Development. Located in Seward, Alaska, AVTEC is an excellent place for Alaskans from across the state to gain key employability and technical skills and start on a career in less than a year.
